What is your 2011 MBP startup time?

38.6 seconds, but 32.8 at the login screen.

Just the standard HDD, I preload Firefox up though.

7 seconds. 15 inch 2.3 ghz 8gb ram 240gb Vertex 3 high res glossy.

From what I know, the first 10 sec of boot up (from pressing power button), the MBP is not reading from the hard drive, it's simply powering up and doing some component tests. So no matter how fast your CPU and SSD is, you won't boot any faster than 10 second as of the 2011 maxed out MBP.

I am talking about the time from pressing the power button to when the computer becomes fully usable thuogh. It might be 7 sec if you count from MBP lighting up.
