I have a Panasonic FX3 P&S that I carry with me almost all the time. I am VERY happy with it. I bought it because it was the least expensive "small" camera from a good brand that I could find. I wanted a camera that would fit in my pocket.

When I go out to take pictures, however, I use my Digital Rebel XT. :D

Duff-Man says...I've got two point and shoots at the moment - an "older" Canon G6 here in Victoria - superb quality pics from this camera...and a new Panasonic FZ-18 that I keep in Albuquerque - I love this camera for the 18x optical zoom, and the overall quality of the camera is excellent too....oh yeah!

Canon G9. 12MP, 6x optical zoom, 3" screen. And it shoots in RAW. It's a big bigger than most others that have been mentioned, but in my opinion worth it.

Canon powershot A70. Yeah, I definitely need a new one and have been looking for months. I just can't decide.
This thing uses 4 AA batteries which makes it heavy so I'm looking for something a little more compact.

Canon SD300. Kind of old but works great. The SD line of Canon's are great. I use Photoshop for most editing needs. Check out dpreview.com for great digital camera reviews.

Casio EX-S500 , 2005. 5.1mp, 3X, 2.5" screen. great for quick close-ups, and cities, terrible for landscapes!

My point and shoot is an older Sony CyberShot... 3.2 MPs. Still can produce some great images.

I hardly ever use that, considering my D50 isn't too bulky when used with the 50mm Nikkor.

I have two point and shoot cameras. Both are several years old.

The best point and shoot I have is my Canon PowerShot A60. Even though it is over 5 years old now and is only 2 MP it takes fantastic pictures and has a great screen.
The other one is a terrible HP Photo Smart R607. Even though it is 4.1 MP it takes worse pictures than my 2MP Canon. The screen is terrible too!
However my Canon has been acting kind of wonky lately so I probably need to get a new camera soon.:(
:apple:

I'm using a Canon A70 at the moment. My wife hates it, too bulky and complex for her.

My first digital camera was a Kodak EasyShare DX 3215. Although it was only 1.3MP, I've always had the impression that it performed better in low light conditions than any of the cameras that I bought after it.

Olympus µ600 (aka Stylus 600):

Nice, sturdy little camera that takes relatively nice pictures...

I use iPhoto to manage the pictures from the µ600 (but Lightroom with my E-400), and just very occasionally need to bring up anything in Photoshop, from either.
