I have 5 3g bars in Shreveport everywhere I go and I drop at least 5 a day. It may be because every one of out 300,000 people has an iPhone 3g. I mean it is unbelievable how man people have this phone. It is great for Apple but our towers are on overload. The sad thing is that I am wiling to sacrifice cell service for the other features of the iphone. I am pathetic.

I have the iPhone since August and I've only had 2 dropped calls. Both of the times I was talking with my sister and she has very poor reception in her house.

If the phone is using 3G then I cannot remember a dropped call

When at home I only get a GPRS signal, this is guaranteed to virtually drop nearly every call

I have had 2 dropped calls since I got my iPhone at the end of November. One dropped while I was talking to my mom who also has an iPhone so I don't know if it was me or her. The other call dropped when I walked into the door and my phone went from 3G to WiFi. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Overall I would say it's pretty standard considering the iPhone is partly a cell phone. ;)
