I’ve eaten their fish sandwich for the past 3 days. It’s not bad at all imo. Their other food is tasty too.

I like Chick-fil-A, but I think they are a little pricey.

Checkers and Poppey’s is really good, but in my area they are only located in really shady neighborhoods.

Don't like Chik-Fil-A apart from their waffle fries. Five Guys is a hit or miss depending on location. In N Out is a safe bet anytime.

My usual go to after a blood and urine profile test during my annual and getting good results is a 5x5 burger with cheese at In N Out, triple order of animal style fries, with lots of thousand island and two large shakes, one vanilla and one chocolate.

And if I feel bloated later, I'll have a large glass of cognac or Scotch. Then, later on, I'll have a large serving of salt and vinegar chips (crisps to our transatlantic cousins) but not too big a bowl. Just your average salad bowl. ;) And several IPAs to boot.

I think for a once a year treat it's fine. Though I'll treat myself to a large prime steak a few times a year. Somewhere around 2-3 lb, cooked medium rare. Large baked potato or two with all the fixings. I take care of myself the rest of the year. Sometimes you have to let loose and go wild.
[doublepost=1551322613][/doublepost]Edit: I recall @Huntn thinking I was insane for eating that much beef in one go. I've eaten more than that in a sitting but it was two prime steaks. I was also much younger and could manage it more then.

COME ON!

In n out and chick fila are like the Roman gods of fast food.

NOTHING beats them if you ask me.

I wasn’t even thinking about them when I made this post.

I meant more like the Taco Bell’s and McDonald’s of fast food haha

What would you recommend at checkers and Popeyes?

I need to make a trip down to the shetchy neighborhoods to get me some ASAP. I’m sure the food is DELISH!

Let’s not even talk about animal style.

I’m literally hungry just thinking about it.

It’s like the heaven of food lol

I wouldn't feed either to a rat.

OTOH, New York pizza is good enough for them. I've seen rats carry entire pizzas.

Oh come on bro! You get a filet o fish combo, it’s good man. I like it at least.

The days of McDonald’s being garbage are over. It’s much improved if you ask me.

Same with T-bell.
[doublepost=1551322983][/doublepost]All that being said, I think Wendy’s is the least tasty food.

To me it tastes like cardboard.

Opinions?

You can even ask for extras like extra onion, cheese or sauce. Outside of the "hidden menu" there's a lot you can ask for.

Folks,

Let me be clear.

Let’s discuss fast food, fast food.

I’m talking Wendy’s, Arby’s, Captian D’s, McDonalds, T-Bell, Burger King, White Castle, KFC, Zaxbys, Checkers, Popeyes, and even the pizza joints like Pizza Hut and Dominos. We can throw in sonic too.

Lets leave Chick Fil A and In-N-Out out of this discussion bc once we mention it it’s

/endthread lol
[doublepost=1551330275][/doublepost]EDIT:

We also need to talk about Panda and whataburger

Not to cause drama...

But...

If you ask me, whataburger is WAY overrated! Not good!

When I was in my 20s, I could eat a prime rib the size of my plate. :)

None of these.

I don't eat "American Style" fast food. Unless by fast food you mean something I can snack on — like a packet of nuts or the like.

That whole list of places you typed out… the last time I was in one of them (and that was a McDonalds) was in 1998.

The concept of gobbling up poorly prepared, poorly sourced "food product" just does not appeal to me. And the smell of these places? That disgusting oily, sweet fug that hangs about everything. No. Just, no.

Oh and for the UK, I'll add the plethora of "Cornish Pasty" shops to the list as well as Greggs.

If you want something "fast" then there are always better choices. Smaller "mom n pop" coffee shops or shops can still offer something decent.

I just don't like indifferent food.
:)

Now Street Food? That is a whole different ball game.
Especially in the Far East.

Exactly; Street food in Asia can be amazing, and in recent times, some excellent gourmet burger places (with good quality meat properly sourced - from local farmers who reared it ethically) have appeared; they served extremely good food, using the 'concept' of what is considered 'fast food' to serve something interesting, tasty and stylish.

But, I agree completely with @arkitect - the places that the OP insisted on narrowing the discussion down to - are not places I would contemplate for the consumption of food.

Although, when abroad, I will concede that McDonald's is clean, and the restrooms safe to avail of.

None of these, including Chick Fil A and In-n-Out unless they are the only game in town.

On our recent trip to France, we ate a few meals at McDonalds and everyone one of them was packed with young people. My guess is the food is tasty enough and it appeared to be practically the only option for a fast meal.

Come on, @Huntn; a French bistro can put together a Croque Monsieur pretty quickly. Most societies have their own version of "fast food" - that is, food that can be prepared and served quickly. And "fast food" in Europe does not necessarily equate with - or to - "junk food".

However, on the continent, McDonalds could be seen as a great place to take children out to as an occasional treat, and students may also like it, precisely because it differs from what they may be used to.

I remember eating in - in fact, being taken to eat in, - (by westerners who were living and working in Moscow at the time) - the first McDonalds in Moscow in the early 1990s; it was packed, because this represented something new, and fashionable and "western" which was deemed desirable at the time.

I once made an 8 layer croque monsieur. It was lovely. Had it with olive tapenade and pepper aspic on the side. Had the Wednesday to myself.
