And how are you utilizing it?
Do you have a "base" computer at home plus ipad ?

Not sure what the question is. Millions love the mini. Millions prefer the larger.

Come Friday, the answers may change. Since NOBODY here has the Ipad Air, then can not list that one yet.

I'm trying to decide what to buy really.....
Older model, newest, up coming, different physical sizes,etc.... I know anything can be useful and I'll get used to them. So bit confused. Too many choices.

Any answer you get here are pretty much worthless. At least for a few more days.

NOBODY can even give their opinion until the AIR comes out. Some folks can give an educated guess about the mini, but that does not exist yet either.

So, not only are opinions suspect, but right now, they have no basis in fact since the latest units are not out there yet.

Of course, millions of people love the older ipad. And kindle, and....

And millions more will tell you that all tablets are stupid. LOL!

My favorite will be the retina mini, black, 64 or 128GB. Mini because of crowded commuting means.
And yes, one base computer at home. Wait ... One ? Let me go and count ;)

so fun to read what people preferred 3 years ago) Now when i am using ipad mini 4 it seems that Apple won't launch anything better)haha it is thin and light (hope the new iphone7 will be the same:))The graphics works faster. But the best thing about ipad mini is the variety of smart covers)));)

I own the iPad mini 4 and the 12.9 iPad pro. I like them both, and it would be tough to choose between them.

I'm a teacher and use the iPad 12.9 for work as a virtual whiteboard. Because of that, it's the one I'd keep if I were forced to choose one or the other. I also use it as a math notebook, and it's nice for watching movies.

But I do also love my mini 4 for it's portability. It goes everywhere with me, for reading books, checking e-mail or the Internet, taking quick notes, and as a GPS device.

1.) 12.9" iPP. (Better screen real estate and speakers)
2.) iPad Mini 4. (The portability of this is insane, especially considering it's power.)
3.) 9.7" iPP. (Amazing display accuracy, and great power in a smaller package.)

Kal.

This thread is from 2013....

But since some newbie thought it funny to resurrect it, I agree with Kai, all three sizes are amazing for different reasons.

I personally like the iPad mini due to it's perfect (in my opinion) size. And, yes, I do have a "base" computer as well.

EDIT: Wow, this thread was started in 2013, my bad.

My favorite iPad would be a hypothetical iPad mini 5 with an A10 and the same specs as the iPad Pro 9.7". Since that doesn't exist, none!

I personally have had iPad2 then mini 1 then iPad 3 then iPad 4 which still have 4 in family then mini 2 then Air one for a few weeks return for air two for three months then got pro 12.9 Which I use on a daily yes I have 2015 15 inch Mbp as a back up

I just switched my grandma from a PC laptop to a 9.7 pro iPad with smart keyboard after a week she decided she wanted bigger so I exchanged it out for the 12.9 inch pro iPad with smart keyboard and she loves it she is 97 years old
