Wait!!! Don't say it!

I took a screen shot of my home folder for a thread I ran in the MR Applications Forum, but I went ahead and cropped it first so no one could see my first name. I got to thinking to myself: "why am I not supposed to let other people know my first name"? And I answered my self as saying: "because no one else does." ;)

Sometimes I feel more protective of my user name more so than real name. It's almost as if my user name is a completely different person appart from myself and I feel an obligation to uphold his honor. How weird is that?

What do you think the danger is of divulging your first name to the world?

I don't know how any harm can come from a first name

Mine is Sharon.

I wander if the elusive Mad Jew will tell us his/it's, if he/it even has one...

As for me, it's Alex...

Mine is Adolf. I tend to use my middle name as a result.

Trouble is, Genghis isn't much better :(

James. Only ever a Jim on correspondence and that is only because it's shorter (am very lazy) and it is the first choice on predictive text as opposed to 'lands' which comes ahead of James. Although I think Lands sounds like an unusual american name.

'Mister' to you.

 Say what?
