A buttery nipple or a nice port and some dark chocolate is the perfect dessert to steak dinner.

Otherwise, vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies or brownie a la mode. Any chocolate based dessert is my favorite thing after a good dinner.

Depending on who it is, might I also say my dinner companion?

Can I skip the steak and just have the dessert? =D

My perfect dessert after ANY meal is my grandmother's White Texas Cake. Holy ****.

Skip the steak?! Are you mad? Steak is awesome; it's like my #3 favorite food! :D

I'm just ... not a steak-eater. I'm pretty particular (read: picky) about what I do and do not eat, and steak is one of the "do not's." >.<

I also don't eat anything with a face or anything that looks like what it used to be, so no lobster, crab legs, etc. That means I'm generally a cheap date! :D

(And don't try to trip me up with that "food with a face" thing by serving me a pancake with a happy face in syrup)

I live in Texas. I've eaten hundreds of steaks. I don't remember ever seeing one with a face.

;)

I'm a fan of a freshly baked cookie with some type of ice cream over it - like a Pizookie, but homemade.

I haven't had any Pizookie in way, way too long. :(

White Texas cake is made in a huge sheet cake pan, hence the "Texas" in the name. It's a very moist almond-y white cake. The icing is basically just buttermilk and powdered sugar, and it's poured on when the cake is still hot out of the oven - that allows the icing to melt into the cake, making it gooey and delicious! The icing hardens just on the top, giving it a light "crust."

It really is heaven in a sheet cake pan. :)

Either strawberries drizzled in a super aged balsamic, or a chocolate creme brûlée...well any creme brûlée really.

Shouldn't you guys call it baked Nunavut or something?

Perhaps, if you guys hadn't made that purchase first.

If you hadn't it might be called Baked Siberia.

They are divine...I try to make one every Saturday night - it's become sort of a tradition - the kiddos just devour it. It's like a scene out of some horror movie.

Every time you mention the twins I crave a pic of them. I know I know, not gonna happen. Girl/Boy, right, about 2'ish now?
