Just asking out of pure curiosity and have your iPhone on night mode?

Dark mode when possible, otherwise just a quick smart-invert shortcut on the home button

I have mine set to both. I have set it by sunrise/sunset. During the day time, my phone will be in light mode. During the night it will be dark mode.

I like both. Dark mode will give you better battery life due to how OLED works. Right now I am using light mode.

I've used dark mode since 2013 with jailbreak. With each subsequent release of iOS a new jailbreak was necessary to continue with dark mode until iOS finally caught up and offered it with iOS 14.

iOS 7 and its explosion of primary colors was a particular reason to jailbreak and get dark mode working again.

So yeah…dark mode always.

I’d like to see an in-between grey mode. Something that tones down the brightness for daytime use but isn‘t full on dark, which I only use at night. Yes, I could (and do) just change the brightness manually but a less hardcore night mode would save a little battery over bright mode and would be something I’d use most of the time.

My first OLED experience was with 11 Pro Max. Oh well all that loyalty to Apple’s LCD prior to 2019 when Android was shipping OLED phones left and right for years, Tim Apple has been rewarding me with red OLED these days.
That’s one hell of a way to put it but it’s regrettably true.

That truetone when using white light mode is weird and buggy. Looks red one minute then doesn’t. @LFC2020 I remember you mentioning this , now I see what you mean. 👍🏼
I have noticed the red shift at times. I can see a brief red shift on the lettering. It seems to be related to the angle of my head in relation to the screen when on axis. I only see this when I am using dark mode.

😐

These oled iPhone panels need to be discontinued asap 🤦‍♂️ if only apple would get rid of piss tone and night shift as well.
