96% for me and I only have 40 cycles. I am less than pleased about this. I have contacted apple support and it doesn't seem like they are going to do anything about it.

Many similar threads. That is fairly typical. Apple will not take any action until their number (not the ioreg number used by Coconut and 3rd party utilities) is below 80%.

How is it typical? I’m not being a smart mouth I just want to know what you mean.

96.3% 56 cycles

was sitting at 102.7 at 40 cycles, and then suddenly dropped to 96 at 41 cycles. I always try to keep it between 25-80% charge..

m1 MacBook Pro

my m1 mba was at 98.8 when I buy it at 1 cycle on January now after 17 cycles at 98.7 plugged 24/7

Wait, are you guys using the system information > power or some app?

The one I mentioned for myself is using the built in information

90 cycles 99%
I keep charging between 20-80%

The worst thing you can do is keep it plugged in all the time without optimized battery charging.

I'm at 100% with 11 cycles since 2/2021.

do you turn off/unplug the charger when the unit is off? or is it continuously powered/plugged?

I guess that's the difference as I unplug the charger whenever the unit is off
