i recently installed an egpu with my i5 mini 2018 razor x and sapphire nitro plus Vega 64. I try to undervolt with not so much success. My best I can do on time spy is 6400 on default settings from the demo. Anybody has similar specs and want to share settings?

Same enclosure and gpu as yours, i7 model, got 6249 overall / 6863 graphics at default clock speed, 6688 overall / 7259 graphics when overclocked to 1700mhz / 1050mhz.

Unigine Heaven Windows10.png What are you guys getting with Unigine Heaven, I have a Vega 56 and with Extreme setting I get 1600 in Mac and 2200 in Windows. Mac score seems low?

gpu: 1602mhz 1050mv / 1702mhz 1150 (this is the two step clock curve in the old drivers, I'm currently on 18.12.1.1)
vram: 1100mhz 1050 mv
fan speed: automatic
temperature: automatic
power limit: +50%

ran 3dmark yesterday and got 6911 overall 7310 graphics
(the score in post #2 was with a slightly lower vram frequency)

Wow ve
My Mac mini is the i7/32GB/512GB model using a razer core x. (Timespy Win10 scores)

My previous setup with a Vega 64: Overall 6231/ Graphics 6595

Reference model Vega 64, so no overclocking. It was already fairly loud.

My current setup with a GTX1080Ti (MSI 1080ti Gaming X 11g): overall 8057/ Graphics 8969

Wow very petty osx doesn't support Nvidia. How you make it to work on Mojave?

Well I don't have it working in Mojave as there is no support (Nvidia drivers) for Mojave, so I just use it when I boot into Win10 on my mini.
I also have a max 2016 15" MBP (2.9/16/AMD 460/2TB) system that I use mainly with Mojave, but I also have High Sierra installed on it so I may try and get the 1080ti setup working on HS as there are compatible drivers and you can get eGPUs working with High Sierra. It's too bad the mini can't run HS and is limited to Mojave.

(I also have Sierra installed on the MBP with the last version of iTunes that still allowed included the App Store and allowed you to download iOS Apps onto your Mac.)

today I install the Radeon VII but I am little disappointed. this is my score on valley

Well looking at your pictures, your original run of Heaven was using Direct3D11 and your newest run was with OpenGL. That probably affected the results.

edit: Your Radeon VII score was also with OpenGL and it's only a bit higher than the Vega64 score using OpenGL. Did you try the Radeon VII using D3D?

Now I see, I was running the test on Mojave’s for this reason I have low score. No valley I rant only to Mojave’s on Radeon VII and as I can see has aLmost double from Vega 64. Anyway on time spy was very disappointed with 7200 only score plus was getting too hot 80 c and 113 on core. The Vega oc 66 and 83 on core.

Well I installed Unigine Heaven and ran it on my system (in Win10).

This is at default clocks for my card (MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming X 11G), which I think has a slight overclock OOTB. It turbo'ed up to core 1974/5505 effective memory.

Also tried with more of an OC at 2125/6000, but didn't really make a difference at this resolution as the FPS/score were virtually the same, only the min. FPS and max. FPS went up slightly.

Good score, Gtx 1080ti is a good card but i wanted to have something power for both windows and mac os. Was difficult to install the 1080ti on windows bootcamp or plug and play like amd?
