I used smaller phones always in the past.

A year ago I started using an Android device that was a size of an XR and the screen size was surprisingly comfortable.
Then I got the XR which is even more comfortable since the edge to edge screen design.

Now if Apple continues to make 6.1" phones then there is my upgrade path, if not, then the Max size.

I will always go for the biggest phone available with the best specs so it’s the max again for me. I really hated how small the X was.

I never vote in these types of polls, however my opinion is that consumers generally will keep the same size device they’re used to, as long as it’s _offered_. For example: If Apple discontinues the 5.8 iPhone size in the future, and the 6.1 is the next smaller size in their lineup, consumers will then be forced to choose that particular size when they decide to upgrade. But myself personally, I prefer the larger sizes of the Plus/Max simply because of the display size/battery life.

I’ve had the 5.8” iPhone 2 years in a row now. Now that this phone has a Gigabit LTE modem, I’ll wait till the 5G iPhone to upgrade.

I voted 5.8 to 5.8. But I may explore going the Xr route later this year. So I wouldn't rule 6.1 out, even though I'm all about not carrying a phablet in my pocket.

The XS is too big for some one-handed use for me but the larger screen is wonderful for usage. The Max sizes are a 'absolutely not' from me.

I have the X but when I go to upgrade I'd like to hold a MAX in my hand to see how it feels since I've never even held one. But I'm leaning towards the bigger size.

I've gone with every big phone since the 6 Plus came out(got the 8 Plus instead of the X and went for the XR for this gen) and I wouldn't mind going down to something smaller like the size of the XS seems like the perfect sweet spot to me.

As much as I would love the largest screen and battery of the Plus/Max phones, in the end I would rather get the more practical regular size of the XS.

I have owned many large Android phones like the Mi Max. Yes they’re great when viewing content, but practicality is just poor for me when I’m on the go. Even the Mi A1 can be unwieldy at times. My iPhone 6S is just more practical. Largest size that I think is still okay is probably my P30.

Will see how the next Apple Watch will be. I’m waiting for the Apple Watch to be able to take care most immediate tasks of my phone. When that time comes, then the phone size doesn’t matter much.

I have both. But the Max is easily my daily driver. The only reason I like the Max, is for one thing and one thing only, the _larger_ display. Battery life has never been an issue for me on any iPhone, because I manage my settings conservatively, but having a larger display to see the content makes viewing so much easier, especially for the amount of emails I read, that alone is worth the price tag for a larger display.
