I drive a screamin' '97 Mercury Villager. Even though it's an American brand, the engine is a Mitsubishi and is the most reliable, well-built part of the car.
Mitsubishi engine? I find that odd in a Ford product, considering it was Chrysler that partnered with them, and the Villager was designed along with Nissan (and sold as the first generation Quest).
Sure you can:

The worst pickup tru... er... thing, in America.
Agreed, it makes for a crappy truck. Spare tire under the bed floor is a bad idea, IRS isn't great for towing, it's just UGLY. Heck, I only saw them with dealer plates for about 8 months after they were introduced. I don't know what MT was smoking when the picked it as Truck of the Year.
Granted, they also had "Performance Wars" with a Z06, an M3, and a Boxster. The Z06 trounced the other two (not surprising), but they picked the M3 on price.

Same here. The only part I've found that ISN'T made in Japan are the bulbs in the headlights (Sylvania, Germany). Tires (B'stone), wheels (Enkei), DBW throttle sender (Denso, yes I took it out last week

), brakes (I forget who) are all Japanese manufacturers. I think the A/C compressor is Hitachi too.
