You could be more grateful, or at least polite. People are taking time to help you out here.
All he did was tell me macs aren't in my price range. That isn't really helping me or taking out time so yeah. You wasted your time by typing this

Ahem.. so let's settle this quickly so we don't take up anymore of your precious time replying to our inanity.
You have $300-$500 to spend. The cheapest (new) mac costs $600.
You do the math.
Any, and by that I mean every single mac currently available (new and refurbished sold by Apple), will handle your needs just fine. That even includes doing amatuer photoshop work.
If you can't afford it, either save up or get a Windows PC. Or, you can go with something older. But I doubt you'll get a lot of help trying to figure out what you should buy after being so ungrateful to people just trying to help you.
ive said pletny of times that i dont need a mac.
Then I'm going to have to side with everyone else in this thread and ask why you're even here.
I'm here asking what type of computer I need duh
You come to a mac forum, where people presumably know about macs, then state that your price range does not include them, and expect answers? Why not go to a generic computer forum, where they will recommend all sorts of computers actually in your price range?
not every person on this forum has a mac. some people just dont want a mac and come here for ipod and iphone talk.
While this is true, you are on a Mac forum asking about PC desktops. While not everyone on this forum has a Mac, its pretty safe to say that most people own a Mac, and even more have a bias towards a Mac (even if they own a PC it's only while they save for a Mac). Go to a PC forum for real advice, and here is some valuable advice that you could use...when you ask questions don't be quite so rude!
i was getting a little rude because people weren't answering my question
