A friend of mine found this fongus in his backyard and we are trying to find out what kind it is. He have never seen something like that.

Do you have any idea?

It says is from New Zeland but this one is in Venezuela. It is under a "passion fruit" tree. And is in a humed hot field, in an orange field.

Plants (and animals) move and migrate. I would contact a local university. Especially if this may be new/rare in that area.

Update: I just did a google search on "basket fungus" and "Venezuela" and it seems that this type of fungus may known in that part of the world. I didn't look hard enough to find pictures, but if you spent some time you could probably find it with those search terms. You might need to swap out the Venezuela with other countries in the region.

I'm not even going to guess how you got to the pages with the dancer's legs from Space Fongus

Imagine, if that was only by thinking in the space fongus... what would be the actual effects by tasting it?

I believe this weekend we are gonna have a home project.

By the way, there's no Dictionary entry for "fongus"

But then, the dashed red line was your first clue...

I can think of two meanings...

1: That fuzzy stuff on your thongue after staying up too late and drinking too much.

2: If you are like wearing skimpy bathing suits, its the bit your thong covers.

Any other suggestions?
