I was hoping to get someone's take on how well mail.app works on the Touch. Does it sync with itunes and update the database on your mac's mail? How does that handshake work under normal circumstances? Will all the Touch's downloaded emails be offloaded to the mail app in OS X, or will they synchronize the messages in the inbox? This seems like an important distinction, lest you start dealing with duplicate messages floating around between the Touch and your OS X mail.

Anyone have any info?

Your iPod is still an iPod to iTunes eye. You won't be able to sync anything related to the extra apps from iTunes, but I never knew before reading this that this feature was available with iPhones. This is really like having a second computer setup to the same mail address...
