The screen was awesome. It showed an insane 0 colors and 16 grays. It had a whopping 648x480 resolution too. You could read it in direct sunlight even with its 13 year old backlight.

I don't even think it was *that* high - I believe it was 640x400 - like my Powerbook 170.

My primary machine is an old pentium 4 Dell but I do sometimes use my dad's 2007/2008 aluminum imac. The imac has 2 gb of ram, ati 2600 pro card and 2.8 ghz c2d processor. And yes, it is the 24 in model.

I thought it was 480 but LEM says it's 400. You could upgrade to a 256 color screen (165c) if you wanted tooI don't even think it was *that* high - I believe it was 640x400 - like my Powerbook 170.

I'm waiting impatiently for my new 2.53 GHz 13" uMBP to arrive. I ordered it Monday morning, with nothing added except a 500 GB HDD and iWork installed. Until then, I'm still rockin' the 1.33 GHz iBook. Woo. Hoo.
