OK, so I have about $1800 to spend. I can get the base C2D Macbook Pro, a loaded C2D Macbook, or possibly an C2D iMac and a low end CD MB. I am not sure what to get. I have a primary need of HD space. I'm very accustomed to portability. I am going to be doing a lot of video editing very soon and might need the dedicated graphics cards of the MBP and iMac. An apple store employee said running Final Cut Pro on the MB is terrible but I've read reviews saying it runs just fine. So, how does the Macbook run Final Cut pro? What would be the best way to spend my money? Which option would depreciate the least and be worth the most in the future? Remember, I need hd space. Thanks guys
Final Cut may 'run' on a MacBook well enough, but the screen size may become a strain, particularly as you suggest you'll be doing lots of video editing.
Depreciate the least -----> Macbook Macbook Pros depreciate like there is no tomorrow. The early MBPs are already cheaper than the new MBs.
