I am looking at trying BeOS some time soon on one of my older PowerPC systems

I'd really like to find the latest (or last) PPC release of the BeOS. I'm guessing it was BeOS R4. I also hope that I will be able to find Rhapsody DR2 somewhere.

Wow, I thought Apple had removed 604/604e compatibility with the developer previews. I was under the impression that they were G3 only.

 Well, I'll have to give that a try.

A 604 at 132 MHz seems a little slow though. How does it run with DP2 on it?

DP2 is a little clunky on the 9500/132, but usable. Many times while playing around with it I'll get an error stating something along the lines of "This feature has not yet been implemented.", but that's expected from DP2. I'd really like to find a copy of Rhapsody DR2 and see if how well it runs on the machine.

Rhapsody DR2 (Rhapsody 5.1) ran quite nice on my 8500/132. Currently the only thing I have running DR2 is my ThinkPad (Pentium 133). I run Rhapsody 5.6 (Mac OS X Server 1.2v3) on my 7500 (with a 604e/225 daughter card) because it is more stable and works better with most of my apps... some of which won't run in DR2.

Wallstreet Powerbook (motherboard and CPU daughtercard toast - will repair)
iMac DV
iMac DV (SE?)
eMac 1.25

It's funny, I always wanted a blazing fast G5 tower, but after getting the eMac for really really cheap it turned out that I didn't need anymore than that.

SE30 - that I sometimes use for typewriter
a performa that I think I should pull myself together and throw away
an iBook G3 - with the screen not working, that I'll keep untill my dream of making a nice hack from it will come true...
17" PB G4 - my only real friend. We'll marry soon...

See sig. The 185c sadly has never powered up since I aquired it. Needs a power adapter and I haven't gotten around to buying one. (I still have to c64 stored away somewhere at my parents house as well)
