I regularly use the following:
Late 2005 PowerMac G5 2.0 DC,
EARLY 2005 15” PowerBook G4,
2020 AS Mac Mini,
2021 14" M1 MacBook Pro

I also own:
2009 Mac Mini,
2010 Mac Mini Server,

But the Apple computer that I regularly use and love the most is my Platinum Apple //e from 1987. This is the first computer I ever owned that was given to me Christmas of 1993 or 1994. It was originally from the science department at SIUC where my parents bought it second hand once they moved everything to PCs. I have since put in a 4MB RAM card, Microdrive Turbo with Compact Flash storage, Mockingbird sound card. I use this machine for all my creative writing as when you combine it with a few good vinyls and great coffee it provides a perfect distraction-free working environment.

M1 MBA (base model) - still going strong today. Every year, I play the "Will I upgrade or should I hold on to my MBA for another year" game and so far, the M1 chip is still more than good enough for my needs. Though after 5 years (and perhaps after that many cumulative years of software updates), the battery life is noticeably worse for wear, and I find myself charging it more. I am still a fan of the classic wedge display overall.

2017 5k iMac. Largely used by my dad now, but it's still my favourite, mainly due to the large and gorgeous display, and also because that was the computer that saw me through the pandemic. When my school pivoted to online learning, the iMac was the perfect machine for zoom lessons and online meetings.

The iMac no longer receives software updates, but it's good enough for my dad who uses it mainly for web browsing, YouTube and light office work. Will likely hold on to this till it gives way some day, in part because there's just no clear upgrade path for me. Maybe an iMac Pro + external monitor some time in the future.

I have an M4 Pro Mac Mini which runs my cycling home training setup, and two 7,1 Mac Pros which are high spec machines. I love the 7,1s, they just work.

Apple got them right.

I also have a 15” MBA M2, it runs well but the lack of dual monitor support drives me mad.

I only own two Macs now, a 13" M1 MBP and a 13" Early 2011 Intel MBP. Of those two, the M1 is my main machine. It still rocks for much of what I do, although it's been showing its age for some tasks (photo processing). I'm planning to replace with an M5 Pro or Max MBP, then it will replace the 2011 MBP as my Time Machine backup server. When that happens, the 2011 will probably get recycled.

Of all the Macs I've owned since 1984, listed here, two stand out:

- The Mac Plus, which was a 1984 128K Mac with an Apple logic board upgrade. That got me through college, and was a great machine at a time when the Mac ecosystem was rapidly maturing. I used to do a lot of programming for hobby and school, and I knew my way around volumes I-IV of Inside Macintosh, using both Pascal and MC68000 assembly.

- The Quadra 650 that I had from 1994-1999. A great machine both before and after the addition of a PowerPC 601 upgrade card. Lots of great software in that era, CDs that came with magazines (anyone remember MacAddict?), System 7.5 through Mac OS 8 and 9, and the early days of dialup internet with MacPPP and Open Transport.

iMac Pro, M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16, M1 Max Studio. These are my current Macs. I also have 2009, 2010 iMac 27, 2015 iMac 27, 2014 MacBook Pro 15, 2015 MacBook Pro 15, 2018 Mac mini, PowerMac G5, 2007 MacBook Pro 15 but I'm not currently using them. The 2014 MacBook Pro 15 is used by a relative on a daily basis for work I think.

My favorite is the iMac Pro. Fantastic screen, great speakers and great microphone array. I do 4k video editing on it. For heavier tasks, I use the Mac Studio on the desktop. I am planning on upgrading the M1 Max Studio to the M5 Max Studio and am considering buying a ProArt 5K to replace the iMac Pro display. Support ends for the iMac Pro either fall 2026 or fall 2027 so I need a plan to migrate and I've been spoiled by 5k. I just want 5k on one monitor. I can live with 4k monitors for the non-interactive stuff.

How do you use the home cycling setup? I have a Keiser m3i with a 2010 iMac with remote control for watching videos. I get the power data using a converter which sends it to my watch. It's surprisingly difficult to get all of the data for cycling unless you have the hardware and software solution just right.

Myself, I own:

M2 MBA 13”

M2 MBP 16”

M4 iMac (silver)

I have to say that even though I use my MacBooks more, the iMac is my favourite.

My first ever Mac was a 2008 iMac, so it has a special place in my heart.

That large, glorious screen just consumes me.

How about you?

Out of curiosity, why do you have two M2 laptops?

As for me:
- 13" M1 MBA (love the OG wedge design).
- M2 Pro Mac Mini (my main/fav, because it's the most powerful I have).

Others:
- 2015 11" MBA (so tiny and cute, currently my daughter uses it).
- 2018 Intel Mac mini (trying to sell it, got no use for it).

MBP M4 14" – daily use at home
MBP i7 Mid 2014 15" – at my girlfriend's apartment
Mac mini i7 Late 2012 – server at home
MBP i5 Late 2011 13" – in my girlfriend's cottage

The Mac mini is my favourite, it just chugs along, no issues. It used to be my daily driver until 2024.

M4 mini 256GB - 2TB external X10 Pro
M4 mini 256GB - 2TB external X9
3x 2013 MBAs

M4 mini is our favorite. Super fast, silent, and small. Dutifully handles everything from mundane day to day tasks (web browsing, RSS, email, etc) to gaming (Steam, Crossover). Now if they can just fix Tahoe’s myriad of issues. It’s truly the best overall desktop Mac Apple has put out for price/performance.

Fresh from the Hackintosh world, the 2024 Mac mini with an upgraded 2TB internal Drive is my first journey into the actual Mac PC world. So smitten, I wish I'd made the transition much earlier instead of spending money on Windoze machines.

I bought two laptops, as I intended to use one at my place, and one at my nan’s, where I stayed regularly.

Sadly, she has now passed away, so I really have no use for both.

I tend to rotate between them, on a weekly basis.

I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro and I use the MacBook more but I do love the iMac. Same as you, my first iMac was a 2007 or 2008ish iMac.

Including the collection, more than 50. As for my favorite, I'm torn between the Blue & White Power Mac G3, the first Mac that really caught my attention, and the iMac DV in Indigo, my actual first Mac.

My favorite was my first Mac I had purchased, a 2001 dual USB iBook with a 100GB HDD. Today. my only Mac is a 2020 M1 MBA.
