I started posting right away when I made my account. Butvthere are many that skim the threads daily without ever posting... Until one day, when you felt that desire to respond. What was that moment for you? Maybe a link to your first post ehh?

Cheers!

When I bought my uMBP when they first came out, i took 3weeks for to arrive and there was a 60+page thread about this ...
Speculation all the way ;)

I had just bought my Mac and I wanted all you Mac users that there's a new addition to your family. No regrets ;)

I was about to plop a good amount of money on a 17" MBP. Damn thing is too damn reliable.

It's been a while… and it looks like the archives can't retrieve my first post.
So I have no idea. :)

Go to search at top of the page, go to advanced. Put in your username, then sort results by: Last Posting Date and in 'Ascending Order'.

Well I found the forum because I googled for a solution to a problem I was having with my powerbook. I found the answer here without needing to post. I lurked for a little while and decided I liked the place so I joined. I didn't post much in the beginning but that all changed with time. Now I just let it all hang out.

Ah! Thanks… the usual search only showed me 509 posts.

So it seems it was:
Top 5 Movies that Touched You(not in that way) that got me posting.

Although I lurked for years before that.
Lurking is very underrated IMHO…

You're not even gonna tell us what those movies are?

I lurked here for a while before posting.

I wanted to get the lay of the land and see how people comport themselves. I've been in some forums that ridiculed you for posting questions. In their lounge area, most of the threads seem to get crapped/highjacked. So before registering, I wanted see how things were here. I did the same thing over at macosxhints as well.

I joined because I liked the site, but I didn't post anything until a few months later when I was having trouble with my 2g tethered jailbreak.

Found the site a while back while searching for information on Macs. Just used the information on the main page and the buyers guide for a long time before eventually lurking into the forums. I finally created an account and posted to ask a question about setting up a home network/storage/server. What's funny is to go back and look at your posts over time to see your interaction patterns.

I had just bought my first *personal* Macintosh. I got all caught up in this "Macs are so wonderful, everyone's so helpful" stuff and joined up and started posting to be a part of the Mac ecosystem. Then again, Macs are wonderful and everyone here has been helpful so I've kept posting.

Looking back on it, some of my first posts were so socially naive..

I first posted my dock in the Post Your Dock thread :) I thought my Elements Icon set was awesome.

Now I don't have anything in my dock except for the Finder and the Trash Can. Spotlight and AppleScripts for the win.
