I prob just missed it but what actually makes lightning, lightning?

I know it has a new connector, but...is it faster? I dont get it...

It might be USB 3 on the other end. I doubt it is Thunderbolt on the end.

The marketing team make it lightning. I'm surprised they didn't go with iLightning.

it gives you a shock every time you have to buy a new accessory because your old one is now obsolete.
