Everything just works. I’m a huge fan of iMessage, the quality of apps on iOS, apply pay, the look and feel of the OS, and the customer service. I will probably die with an iPhone at this point. I have gone to android plenty of times to just run back.

Apple Watch just is too danged good. And I agree with all of the advantages everyone else listed so far.

That being said, I have two lines and I love my widgets and the special features Samsung bakes into its version of Android that I don't think I can quit my Note 10+ cold turkey, either. And Samsung working closer with Microsoft means my phone will continue to work better with my desktop PC.

But it's my iPhone that's always with me keeping me connected via iMessage and Facetime.

Hmm. Where to start...

1. iPhone goes with my Apple Watch. iMac. iPad. Apple TV’s. So the ecosystem.

2. my 7 year old daughter. She has an iPad of her own. I work crazy schedules at times...winter brings quite a few 32+ hour work days for me...so needless to say I don’t always get home every day to see her, so we FaceTime to at least see each other somewhat.

3. Couple years ago, when the galaxy s8 came out, I switched. Phone was awesome for the first two months, won’t lie. But then it started becoming laggy and just not great. Usb c charging port became so loose the charger wouldn’t stay in unless you held it in. When contacting Samsung their only option for me was to send the phone in for 3 weeks, and be without a phone. No replacement options like Apple has. which leads me to #4.

4. customer service. If something goes wrong with your device, it’s not you go weeks on end without a phone. They swap it out then and there. I’ve had a few mail replacements as well. They stopped doing the express replacements I guess unless you have Apple care +. Couple years ago when I had to have my x changed out they went ahead and approved my express replacement for my phone without apple care. It was a warranty issue...they told me I’d have to go about a week without it to send it in first then they would send one back. I explained to them because of work I can’t go without a phone. They approved the express replacement and it went smooth as always. Samsung told me tough crap when I explained to them why it was imperative that I was not left without a phone. Also going with the customer service, I broke the screen on my 6s+, no Apple care. Made an appointment to get it fixed. When I got there they checked the phone with their computer and it wouldn’t register so they swapped the whole phone out instead of just replacing the screen, and didn’t charge me a dime.

5. Apple, to me is just more reliable. Their slow moving feature wise but when it gets there it just works and works well. Their customer service is amazing. Samsung has some cool hardware and exciting features, but Apple will work with you when something goes wrong.

In college a few years ago, I had a PC with windows vista. I got a virus that was impossible to remove. I tried everything! I can’t remember all the details but it would reinstall every time I’d delete it. These two guys in one of my math classes removed it for me. They told me I ought to get a Mac because they don’t get viruses. I was so mad about that virus I went and bought one after trying out an iMac in the library. I remember I bought the completely white MacBook. Since then I’ve completely invested in Apple products.
The only downside is my current iMac struggles with Fortnite some the only game I really play.

Because Apple is a company I trust with their stringent hardware standards, they value my privacy and you’re purchasing the customer service quality with the product.

It works great for me - yes the integration between phone, pad and mac book is a great feature. My wife had an android phone for a while and it was terrible compared to iPhone. I know there are things that some people don't like but it does exactly what I need it to do for me.
Just for reference I bought an Apple II way back when it was their first actual computer for sale and been with them since. Used other stuff at work but Apple for me at home.

As an old IT person who was on the hook in the family for everything PC
It’s purely Selfish reasons

Relatives and friends ask, what do you use ?
I have a mac
Between the Apple stores and 800 phone support my
Family support calls have gone to ZERO.

if anything now they come up to me to demo some new trick or feature they can do

This morning I heard Hey Siri Check order Status.

I smiled

The hand holding that I would have todo to get that working on another
Platform for an older relative or child would strain a saints relationship.

Last weekend during a gig my bud saw the sound level meter on my Apple Watch
(Watch os 6 beta)

I need that he exclaimed. Does it work with my phone as he pulled out his Samsung.

No, No it doesn’t you need an iPhone.

He said well I’ll get a FitBit then it’s probably just as good.

You do that

I think the OP summed it up nicely. The ecosystem just works perfectly for me - I find myself much more efficient and not fighting technology nearly as much. The one addition that I will make is privacy. This didn't use to be so important to me, but over the years with all the various privacy issues cropping up with Google tracking, etc... I think this is one major advantage Apple offers over the others.

I am looking to their sign on with Apple, and the disposable emails as well. My employer is google, but I am working on transitioning away from Google personally.

The stuff mainly just works, and especially between devices. Switching away would just be too painful for me.

iMessage and airdrop have become essential for me
Completely different situation for me.

iMessage: Everyone I know and meet whether they have an iPhone or Android phone use WhatsApp.

Airdrop: I subscribe to spotify for music and Netflix, BBC etc for TVshows. I have zero files to move between devices.

FYI I have ordered an 11 Pro Max jumping from a Pixel 2 XL but integration is has been non issue. :)

One word: Privacy.

After researching this topic quite extensively, decided do ditch my Note8 and go with 11 Pro Max.
From the pre-installed Facebook app on Samsung phones to the "phoning home" in Android (Android phones send data request 40 times/hour when the phone is in "idle" state on your desk. Even more when it's moving).
I just try to avoid Google like a plague.

Librem 5 should be available soon, but to me it's still unknown company... So Apple it is.

Ps. Google goes through your Google Drive-data and Google Photos-data and sells this information to advertisers. They don't "directly" look into it by human but an AI analyses the data that is in there. So my recommendation is to not use these services, even with your iPhone.

Another thing I like about Apple is that they sell products. That’s their main business.

What’s googles main business? search?

So how are they making money? Selling what I search?

If true, that’s creepy.

But at the same time, if someone wants to know what I search, it’s their waste of time. I guarantee it won’t be interesting lol

"If you're not paying for it, you're the product."

In my case, i was paying for the Google Drive- subscription. But it doesn't matter, Google can (and will) analyse that data for the advertisers. In Google photos it's completely free and unlimited in size. These photos do take space on the servers, where do you think Google gets money for that?

Completely forgot about privacy thank you for that input!

Its the Ecosystem but mainly I wanted to switch to Note 10+ this year but it was a huge pain trying to plan the migration, trying to keep as much data during migration, and in the event that I may move back to iPhone one day, all that just seemed like more trouble than it was worth. So Apple has me for another year at the very least...

I actually got the note 10+ it didn’t take me long to release I can’t access my iCloud email, iCloud Drive, iMessage group chats, FaceTime and it was bothering me, note 10 was great though medics consumption speed and fluidity was great but the ecosystem like you said has me with Apple
