I could have sworn I had seen a thread here with a link that let you put in your serial # and it would return the "dated" model description. Any one know what I am talking about?

I have another stupid question: I have partitioned my HDD. I would like to know what my original HD capacity was. That is, what would have been the "advertised" capacity? I think it was a 160GB, but I cannot recall. Is that info accessible on my MBP somewhere? I think it should be; I just can't find ot. I figured it would be under the Apple menu under 'About this MAC' but I don't see it.

Click the "Serial-ATA" tab under contents, and you will see the original HDD capacity.
