What Motherboard is in my Mac?

    I have the 2008 15" 2.53 GHz, 512 vRAM 9600M GT Macbook Pro. A guy at the Best Buy store told me (when I was buying more RAM) that my model has an NVIDIA nForce motherboard. I doubt this is true, but can anyone confirm this?

    That's the chipset. The logic board is Apple's own.

    ya. Apple's own motherboard , nvidia's chipset.

    I believe Foxxconn does the actual manufacturing (like many other OEMs) of the board. Though there are rumblings that Gigabyte may enter the fray to provide Apple with USB 3.0.

    The chipset is the same even though the form factor may vary
