What movie is this song from!?

Yeah that was the first place I looked, but I have only seen 2 of those movies, and I know it wasnt from those that I know it from.
 
Well lets try to get a list going because this is driving me nuts
 
Bugger it all! now you are driving me starkers. Yes it was a major theme in a rather large movie, which is completely escaping me at the moment... Dang!:mad:

You're probably just as well making a list of all the films you've ever seen.

It's most likely shorter than the list of films Le Carnaval has been used in.

Nope I think that soundtrack was all original scores.

I feel like its some type of fantasy movie such as Edward Scissorhands, or a Disney movie

Not to purposely open up a dead thread, but you are correct. It was used in both Edward Scissorhands as well as Beauty and the Beast.
 
Saint-Saën's "Le Carnaval des Animaux" is a collection of short pieces, presented as a whimsy.

The composer was aghast by the public's immediate enthusiasm to the suite and forbade the public performance of all pieces except for "The Swan" during his lifetime.

Today it is one of this composer's most famous compositions. He's rolling over in his grave as I type this.

That is a beautiful atmospheric composition and I have no clue where I heard it, but Imhave heard it. I was going to guess Practical Magic. I want to say fantasy related. :)

“Aquarium” is featured in the trailers for the 1994 film Only You, the 1974 film The Godfather Part II, the 1995 film Babe, the 2006 film Charlotte’s Web and the 2008 film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and appears to be one of the influences on the main theme in Walt Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and is especially prominent in the cue titled “The West Wing”. It is also the opening theme music to the 1978 film Days of Heaven and the opening and closing theme in the 1992 film documentary, Visions of Light. “Aquarium” is played throughout the Simpsons episode “The Wife Aquatic”, and can be heard in the episode of The Ren and Stimpy Show entitled “The Cat That Laid the Golden Hairball”. The Aquarium also runs repeatedly throughout an episode of How I Met Your Mother in season 5 or 6. It is also heard in the video game Crash Tag Team Racing, and along with “Swan” is part of the soundtrack of the video game Burnout Paradise (2008 edition). It is also used in the film Impressions de France, shown at the French theater in Epcot’s Showcase of Nations (see Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida).
It was utilized by Kylie Minogue as part of the opening sequence of her Aphrodite World Tour.
It’s also traditionally played during red carpet premiers at the Cannes Film Festival, as the cue for the entrance of the cast and crew of the featured film.

[doublepost=1513888763][/doublepost]I swear I heard this in the beginning of Spiderwick in the theater or in a Preview of Spiderwick somewhere. It is currently being used in the US Postal Service's Christmas Commercial about the kid and the missing Teddy Bear Nose.

 
More importantly, what painting is that in the YouTube video?

Because it contains proof of ancient aliens!

Nearly everyone in that painting is either looking at a smartphone, or taking a selfie.

I've been obsessed with this theme since I saw it as a child in a submarine film. I still don't know what the film was, but it was an early colorized ww2 film (probably from the 50s or 60s), so there you go - the Aquarium has been a go-to soundtrack for all things watery for over 50 years!
