My wife I'd buying me a Surface pro 4 and I'm getting her a Surface 3

We also change our cars every two years and this year it is my turn to order my car which I will be doing next week for delivery in March which is when my birthday is.

Ordered myself a Chromecast. Given how much I've spent on tech this year - I think a €40 dongle is more than adequate this Christmas ....

Sadly, I ordered an iPad Pro through Sprint and it won't ship until next year. They're saying it's Apple. And thus I told my sister that Apple ruined my Christmas.

Well I bought the 4th generation Apple TV on Sunday. I'm still debating whether to upgrade my iPad mini 3 to the mini 4.

Really? That's your definition of a ruined Christmas ?

Heaven forbid you ever be in the unfortunate position to have a family member or child die at Christmas. Be homeless living on the streets, relying on the kindness of strangers for food and possibly shelter. Be living in an abusive relationship and being beaten black and blue over the holidays. Being sexually abused by relatives terrified to ever tell someone, terrified it's not Santa creeping into your room. There are millions of people who will have a genuinely 'ruined' Christmas this year.

You simply didn't get an iPad pro in time.....

I think it's time for some real perspective here and be thankful for what you have.

I believe he was saying that in jest, MRU. But in case he wasn't, I'd echo your comments.

Considering two years ago I was actually homeless, it's a joke. Calm down.

Without a wink emoji or j/k we have to take a post on face value. You have to remember we get many irrational posts in this sub section especially anti-Apple style ones, so it's hard to know if someone is genuinely being serious because sadly often more than not - they are !!!

Though in this occasion I'm glad you were not.

Nollaig shona Dhuit ...

The fact that these posts can even be considered in the "are they for real" category speaks volumes about the people on these forums. I mean, nobody should even remotely think a late iPad Pro is a ruined Christmas. I'm alive, in a house, with a job where I can work obnoxious hours if I want to buy shiny things.

It's a good year, and this is likely going to be a great Christmas.

Talking of ruining Christmas. Royal Mail are on the way to ruining mine. I sent some gifts via special delivery (guaranteed next day delivery) on Monday and as of today Wednesday it has not arrived and on the tracking it doesn't even show as being out for delivery. Royal Mail are becoming a joke. Last month I sent a birthday card via first class post and it took 10 days to arrive. Now we will see how long it takes for a special delivery item to arrive. If it doesn't arrive today I shall be calling them to give them a piece of my mind!

Probably going to end up getting the Samsung Galaxy S6. I'm ready for a new phone, and I'm a little disappointed with where iOS has gone since iOS 7.

At this stage unless you are desperate for a new phone, I'd wait to see what they do with the S7 as we're talking 12 weeks only

I bought the HomeKit Phillips Hue bridge yesterday. I already had 12 of the light bulbs. My entire downstairs is now Siri controlled. I'm loving it! Word to the wise hue's app sucks. I was fighting with Siri until I downloaded idevices from the App Store. Completely free and Siri control now works like a dream.

Thinking of getting hue my self, love the idea of just talking to Siri when I need to control my lights. The idevices app you are mentioning is it this one:

Use DPD next time, they have always been pretty good delivering stuff from Amazon and arrive when their email says they will.
Also weren't packages sent by Royal Mail or ParcelForce as I think they have different websites?
