I was disappointed that there was no dock.
Even more disappointed that Apple sells the dock for 49.99 ><
There is a $29 dock. the $49 is a universal one.

Its just kind of annoying. Seems like Apple keeps taking things away. No charger next year?![]()
I would not say that this means that you won't need a screen protector. The new coating on the screen is said to resist fingerprints and grease a lot better than past coatings, and is able to be cleaned a lot quicker (a single wipe on a shirt sleeve). But the one major negative that I have heard in other threads and on a few sites about the new coating is that it is more prone to hairline scratches (to what extent we don't really know yet). So it is really up to you as to what you do, I will most likely go for a screen protector when I update to the 3GS later this year as my current iPod (which I assume has the old coating) has a TON of hairline scratches on it, so if that is true about the new coating, then it will probably have even more.quick question? does this mean that we really don't need a screen protector for the 3g s. i had one on my first iphone but is it really necessary now because of that coating on the screen.
next year: no phone, just the sim card pin, boxing material, instruction manual, but still...no phone![]()

I see how this could be considered a petty complaint to some but I for one completely agree. Like so much of life it's the little things that can make such a big difference. The new oilaphobic (sp?) screen coating is great but it still needs to be buffed up time to time. For the money we pay for these phones they could at least keep giving us the wipe down cloth that probably costs them around .02 cents - or less.
just to play devils advocate.....
the price of a two cent cloth really adds up when you shell it out with tens of millions of iPhones![]()
Well that is blindly obvious. Now multiply 1,000,000 + x $299 or more. Point being I think we pay more than enough for these phones to warrant keeping the cheap wipe cloths.
