I guess that means I shouldn't expect a Powerbook G5. Maybe next event...

They do have 14 days to return it and there is also a price adjustment. But you are right many people don't know what you just said.
And those people who don't know often also don't care. Us techies want the latest and greatest but a good amount of consumers don't even know what version of the phone they have

And using refurbished parts, in keeping with Apple’s environmental commitment.

I probably just lost my job.
There are soooooo many people that prefer a home button and don’t want Face ID

I do wish a 8Plus variant comes along or at least something with a home button cause I refuse to get an iPhone with a notch.

Not cause the notch is ugly, but because it houses the Face ID system that I don’t need at all.

The home button however is VITAL to me.

Apple's largest event of the year takes place tomorrow, where we're expecting to see the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro, new Apple Watches, and new AirPods Pro.

While this is Apple's most anticipated and jam-packed event of the year, there are several products Apple is working on that won't see their debut tomorrow. We've rounded up three things you should not expect to see announced during tomorrow's event.
New iPad Pros

If you're hoping to see some iPad action tomorrow, you may want to think again. Apple is working on new iPad Pros with the M2 chip that it plans to announce at an event next month, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, so we're unlikely to see anything related to the iPad or iPadOS until then. Apple is also working on an updated entry-level iPad, and while the company is planning an iPad-focused event for next month, a new base iPad launch tomorrow would not be unprecedented.

New Macs

Alongside new iPads later this fall, Apple is also planning to update the current Mac mini with M1 to feature the all-new M2 Apple silicon chip. The upcoming Mac mini, despite rumors, will feature no redesign and only a performance boost, according to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which says it will launch in 2023. As a result, we're unlikely to see any news related to the Mac mini or any other Mac during the event tomorrow, which is expected to be iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods focused.

Any News on AR/VR Headset

If you look at Apple's event invite for tomorrow's event, you may think the company could be alluding to the long-rumored reveal of its AR/VR headset. Unfortunately, you'd be mistaken. Apple is not expected to discuss its future AR/VR plans during the event. Instead, it is rumored to be planning an event for January 2023 to unveil its first AR/VR headset named "Reality Pro."

What *To* Expect

On the flip side, expect Apple to announce the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, new Apple Watch models, AirPods Pro, and more. For a full rundown of everything we're likely to hear about tomorrow, see our guide.

No one is talking about a possible apple car anouncement? The atutonomous self driving apple car. Atomic fusion engine? hahaha. Now that would be far out. Or the apple hover car.

Nothing. There is nothing I will not expect! I expect EVERYTHING!

Apple better deliver or I’m going to never buy Apple again. They’re in for a rude awakening if they don’t come out with all the things the rumors said they should announce. Apple is really in the toilet yet again. 👎

-heaping spoon of 😜

This may be the first Apple Event ever that I don't plan to watch. IMO, we really don't need new phones. What we need is an Apple silicon Mac Pro and a Pro-based Mac mini (and maybe a Pro or Max-based iMac).

I guess I'd be mildly interested in a new Apple Watch with better sensors. But, what are we going to get in this year's iPhones? Probably new cameras and maybe a speed tweak on the very high end.

So, maybe 'Far Out' really means wait until next year when we might have new Apple silicon based upon a sub-5nm process.

I kinda feel sorry for people who will buy an iPhone 13 series phone today... given that come 10 am PST tomorrow, their price will drop instantly.
If you’re buying a phone outright that’s 100% accurate. If you’re trading in a phone, there’s going to be a slight wash, because the amount you’re going to get for it will most likely drop instantly tomorrow, as well, when the iPhone 14 debuts. Meaning, your total after trade in for a iPhone 13 may not be that much difference between today and tomorrow.

I always buy the phone outright...to get it Unlocked.

But if you're trading in an older device to get the 13 on discount, you're right, it's not that big a deal.

So exactly when can we expect to see the $100 price drop on iPhone 13's? I want to order as soon as possible.

i'm all set ...

1. backed up all devices
2. disabled macOS updates, IOS updates, IPADOS updates.
3. watching others go into panic mode

No mini M2 until ‘23? Come on really?

You possibly negate the potential for 'And another thing...' happening. I mean, it's possible. I'd love it to come back. Some of the coolest things, both available soon/now, and coming soon were in that category. You have to love the showmanship.

*Everyone* is watching...
