I'm not sure what the question is. They're referencing that you can send audio messages, hence the Laugh Out Loud. Out Loud. tagline.

Is that not redundant not to mention terribly awkward and tacky?

I'm not saying its their best marketing moment, I'm just saying it does at least make sense.
