A friend of mine would die a happy man in PageMaker was ported to OS X (he has an irrational hatred of InDesign). Does anyone else share this sentiment or is my friend alone on this one?

Voice login. By Apple, too.

No.

It didn't work, hardly at all.

I tried it out (I had a WallStreet running OS 9), and it would recognize me about 75% of the time, but it was so unreliable (since you need to get into your computer more than 75% of the time) and would mess up due to colds or other voice changing situations, not to mention background noise, that Apple wouldn't even eliminate the requirement of having a typed password, which removed all the security benefits of having a voice password.

Basically, it was a gimmick, and I'm glad they didn't bring it back. Voice security is not the way to go.

I'm looking forward to retina scans though.
