Okay, so I've been wondering this since the announcement of 3.0, and I though to myself 'I'll just wait, likely most apps will be updated for compatibility before it releases.' Of course, I was horribly wrong. Out of my many apps, only 3 have been updated in the past week and only one (Tap Tap Revenge) specifically said it was updating to use the push notifications of 3.0. Does this mean that all of my other apps, unless updated within the next 12-24 hours, will be completely incompatible when I update tomorow?

(Another question) will I lose save data on any games I bought from the app store?

Just because they haven't been updated to take advantage of 3.0's features and APIs doesn't mean they won't work just like they do now.

All apps will work tomorrow. How many will be updated to take 3.0's advantages? who knows, thats up to the developer.
Not correct at all.

I already know of one app where the developer states point blank "My app will NOT work with 3.0."

He also has stated that the fix has been submitted to Apple and we are waiting on Apple.

And the App is called Checkbook.

And I won't upgrade till the app fix is in cuz I have a TON of data in there that I can't afford to lose.

Most. I haven't had any not working on 3.0.

Some apps won't need updates (mine didn't, for instance).

Plus, Apple said they'd be removing apps from the app store if they're not 3.0 compatible by a certain point.

I think most will, but we will see a lot of updates.

Stupid dictionary.com hasn't worked since beta 1 for 3.0, and they've been saying "Our 3.0 compatible update is coming soon!"

I can confirm that the Dictionany.com update released yesterday does now work.

I have been using Wiki Mobile, which works fine except for downloading pictures. It crashes when you try to do that. The developer is aware and has submitted a revision.

Everything else I have works fine, 86 applications worth.

Developers have had access to 3.0 for some time now (since it was announced). If they haven't updated their applications, it's no-one's fault but theirs.

I haven't had any problems with any apps yet. I do hope we get some more apps updated for push soon though.

ok people just because your apps havent been updated does not mean they will not work with 3.0... tons of apps already work with 3.0 stop worrying

i'm on 3.0 and so far only two of the one i have don't work. Dictionary.com and Air Sharing. although Dictionary.com was updated so it works now but Air Sharing isn't updated yet.

I'm not worried. I know the kinks will all get worked out. But the title of this thread is "What percentage of apps will actually WORK tomorrow?" and someone said "all of them," so a few of us are just pointing out that there are some that are not working yet with 3.0. Fair enough?

I'd say most will work. Apple did send out a letter a month ago requiring developers to ensure their apps work on 3.0. I'm sure some apps with have problems, but I think the bulk will be fine.

So I say 95%.
