What's the point of having a iPodTouch if you have a smartphone? Another reason why i believe the Touch is on it's death bed.

Many people got an iPod Touch first (as they are much more affordable than a smartphone) then got an iPhone later when they could afford it or because they knew they'd like it from their iPod Touch experience :)

I have a LG Cosmos Touch and I love it. I also have an iPod touch and an iPad 2 but I use my iPad most of the time and foor mobile music I have the 3.5mm jack on my phone. However, next month my upgrade is here so i am going to wait and buy the iPhone 5 or w/ever they call it. My mom just got the 4S and it is truly everything I'm looking for in a phone.

I’m using a galaxy S2, easily best android out there.large screen, wall papers the GPS is just great.:)

I have both an iPod Touch and another phone. Honestly, it is just cheaper for me, I don't have to get an expensive plan for less storage space.

And besides my phone is a rock, 4 years+ and still working just like the first day I bought it. They don't make phones like that anymore.

I'm willing to bet that most people have an iPod touch and a smartphone because either they want to get the best of two mobile OSes or an iPod touch + phone combo is cheaper.

EDIT: That last reason I stated could very well be applied to non-smartphone users.

I have an iPhone 4 and iPod Touch $th Generation. The iPod was actually won in a raffle, and I only use it for music. Everything else I use the iPhone for.

Actually I like to have the latest version of the iPod Touch (now I have the 5 with 64gb, but I have the 3 32gb and the 4 32gb) and the latest version of the Nexus line (I'm on the Galaxy Nexus, waiting for the Nexus 4 to be launched here in Brazil). I do this because, for me, Android is better for phones and to have an iOS experience I buy the iPod Touch line :p

I've got the Sony Xperia Arc S but I don't see the point in using a smartphone for music. Apart from the Sony being a laggy piece of crap.

I'd rather use my iPod Touch and not have it ring and interrupt me.

Ya - me too. The 32Gb 5th gen. wasn't big enough for me so I bought the 64Gb one, (in white and silver) now selling the 32Gb Slate one.

I don't see any phone - except an iPhone - competing with the touch.

I would get an iPhone next time rather than Android, but I'm heavily relying on my Sony for a hot-spot so am just going to keep it til it breaks.

It has a good camera on it, the internet connection is fast..but it's just so laggy since it got ICS. You swipe the screen and sometimes you could go to the toilet for a dump and back in the time it takes to register.

I like android on my Nexus 7 though - it works perfectly but all my experience with android phones has been bad.

I really hope you're on stock Lol. Stock android on your sony is way different from AOSP. If you're not already rooted do it and try a custom ROM. That's why i choose android over iPhone.

Nokia 8210

I just bought 3 more refurbished from ebay for $22 each in new condition. It's as cool at it was when it was introduced in 1999 tiny, solid and 79grams

I use an OOma VOIP system that replaced my landline, has loads of extras and once you buy it, the service is free. I have my iPod touch 5th gen and a throwaway cell phone that costs me $19.95 per quarter for emergencies that I keep in my car. For a retiree, it works great with low cost. I thank God I'm not still in the workforce where I was on a cell phone leash 24/7! The iPT is wonderful when traveling out of the country. It has a translation app that works well and a good currency converter app, and the camera works well enough for candid pics. I use Face Time with family and friends, and it all fits in my shirt pocket!!

I don't have it anymore, but I did used to have both an iPod touch and an iPhone 4. At the time, there was no 64GB option for the iPhone, which is why I also had the touch.

I prefer to keep my music on one device, and my phone and info on another. Otherwise my music is interrupted by phone calls.

Android users like me like the iPod Touch, as it is my only door to iOS ( like SO many other people). iPod Touch on it's death bed? News to me.
