What plug/adapter do I need?

I have a US model iPad and it came with an adapter like this

But I live in Ireland and need a three plug version. Someone said I can use the three plug one I got with my macbook but ive lost that and charging with my iPhone charger is slow since it's 5v 1a.

You have at least three choices:

1. Apple will sell you an expensive plug.

2. On Ebay you can get one for about USD 4. Search on Ebay for "Apple UK plug."

3. Go to your local ironmonger who will sell you a cheap adaptor allowing you plug that US plug into your mains.

There you go. Good for you. 🙂 It's ridiculous Apple can't provide AC adapter and has the nerve to charge $34.99. As well as build a new iPhone with obvious signal issues and then has the nerve to tell its CSR NOT to "appease" (quite the word they use in internal memos) angry customers by offering them free bumpers... but they're more than willing to sell you one for $29.99.

Wait are you telling me they charge 34$ for a plug like I bought? Or an adapter that you can extend the power cable?
