I recently purchased the new Apple TV and love it. I was wondering if anyone knew the exact type of power cable that the new model takes. I believe it's an Unpolarised C7 or C8 cable but I am not sure if it's 7 or 8. I have two TVs in my apartment, so I figured buying a second power and HDMI cables is cheaper then a second Apple TV. Thanks for the help!

You could try calling AppleCare like I did. I called them because I wanted to do the same thing with my first gen and I called asking where I could buy antihero because they didn't sell them and he said he could send me one and he overnighted me a new one free of charge. So it is worth a shot to get it for free.

It's not like power cord technology has made any strides in the last 20-30 years..... so yes they are the same.

Apparently it has though :p
