I just bought a refurb Mini (1.83GHz CoreDuo & 512MB RAM) and would like to upgrade the RAM before I upgrade to Leopard (and to speed up my multi-tasking on the machine. The mini primarily serves as a media server (thru an airdisk) and video encoding machine. I know Leopard is said to be more efficient and snappier... but I'm using that as an excuse to spend more money and upgrade the RAM :D

    So... 2 decisions:

    1. What kind & type of RAM do I need to get for it?
    2. 1GB or 2GB? Can a significant difference be noticed between the 2?

    Thanks!

We use Macsales.com for all of our Mac mini RAM orders. They make it really easy to know what kind and what configurations are possible.

If you have the money, I say go for the 2GB.
