What resolution do you run your MacBook at?

Default for me is sufficient. I browse web, write documents and edit 4K video in Final Cut Pro using full screen mode for most apps. No lag.

1440x900. Coming from an Air this feels much more familiar than the 1280x800 which reminds me of the old MBPs.

Hi guys, I was wondering if on my 15'' pro I switch the resolution to 1680x1050 would it also decrease the quality of videos I am watching - or does this only apply to text for example?
The questions sounds stupid, but I can quite get the impact of scaling on video quality

I use 1440x900 - I like the look of this resolution better than the others.

I keep trying 1440, but I can't seem to get use to the small amount of lag I notice. I wish it weren't the case as I love the more space, but the lag bugs me.

After this thread, I've actually gone back to 1280x800 and it does seem a little smoother than before

Haha I go back and forth. I really want 1440 to work. Currently feels pretty smooth. Who knows? Maybe it's all in my head.
