Aloha everyone,
I've also rolled a few of my own. I copy them to a specific folder, use Audacity to cut it, then SFTP them via Fugu to my iPhone (after having first changing my root password). Currently, my main ringtone is "Mamma was a CPU" by Kraftwerk (I think), and the one for my wife is the theme for the Republic from Star Wars Episode 4.

95% of the time, my phone is on vibrate. The other 5%, it's Old Phone. I'm firmly in the "A phone should *ring*" camp.
Im in your camp, no songs, some ringtones are fine (if they sound like a ringer).
How can you present yourself as such a YTMND fan and not have the Man Himself on your phone??
I've got the "chant" versions of both "You're the man now dog!" and "PUNCH THE KEYS for God's sake!" on my phone....YTMND as the new email message and PTKFGS as my new SMS message. I'm also embarrassed to admit that I've got Patrik Pacard as a ringtone for someone....

I used Fission to crop the track, and just used the standard iTunes extension trick. Current ringtone: Heaven Forbid - The Fray. The riff at -0:22 through -0:06. <3 The Fray. I've also got Stephen Colbert's "Your phone is ringing" from a few weeks ago just to get laughs occasionally, haha.
