With each new iPhone release, Apple packs in more features — some big, some small — but not all of them get the spotlight they deserve.

I was recently chatting with a friend and realized how much I rely on Focus Mode to stay distraction-free. It's one of those underrated features that genuinely changed how I use my phone throughout the day.

Curious to know:
What’s one iPhone feature that you personally couldn’t go without?
Whether it's something basic like AirDrop or something newer like StandBy mode, would love to hear what stands out for you and why.

I have a cellphone because I want(ed) one. It makes things easier when I am out - which is about an hour or two a day. I work from home, so any digital life I have revolves around full-sized computers. As it has since my first computer in 1980.

I could live without a phone, it's a convenience. But not my computers. So, if I had to answer your question, I'd guess the feature of texting would be one I 'couldn't live without.' But, I could use any phone for that right? So, as I said, phones are a convenience and because I have one because I wanted one, I have an iPhone because I want one.

My phone is used for calls, texting, light email and some web browsing when out. Apple keeps adding features I neither need nor require and I can live without them. But thankfully, I don't have to use them.

As to distractions…I'm Gen-X, the latchkey generation. I frequently came home to an empty house as a kid/teenager. So many 'distractions' are background noise for me. It tells me that while I'm doing whatever I am doing, life is still happening. I can either choose to engage, or not. And if I'm not, I am very capable of ignoring things.

There is nothing on the iPhone that I "can't live without", but the most important features are simple calls and texts.

That said, this is a first post and reads very much like AI. 🤨
