5 minutes as it's a pain to unlock every minute when having a conversation via text/email/IM. If I'm not expecting a reply, I'll lock it myself.

Never. Do lots of SSH so it's a pain to have to constantly unlock or touch the screen to keep it awake.

I never use auto lock.

I have just gotten in the habit to make sure I lock it before putting it in my pocket. Other than that it stays unlocked when not in my pocket.

Why would you have it on anything else?

When I'm updating Apps and I leave my phone on the side for a few minutes, it really annoys me if it keeps locking after 1 minute and therefore stops the App updating.

If your apps stop updating when locked then surely there is something wrong?
