They need to make IOS more "advanced".

What I mean is that people 7 years ago barley know how to use a smart phone so Apple made it very easy. But now a days, 2 year olds know how to use iDevices.

We don't need the "basics" anymore. Give us more freedom, more choices, more features. Can you imagine what would happen if IOS was more advanced like android? It would literally dominate the whole tablet, phone market.

Now I'm not saying I'm a philosopher of technology. I'm giving you the basics on what needs to be done. I don't know how to execute them. This is Apples job not mine. Hopefully someone there thinks this same logic and we see literally "The most advanced mobile operating systemNow I'm not saying I'm a philosopher of technology. THAT IS COMPLETELY TRUE. If it was the 'MOST ADVANCED' wouldn't it take people longer to figure out how to do it. But also that might piss off people with a small time schedule... Maybe they should add two new iOS's like iOS Advanced and iOS Simple

I'd like to see waterproofing. Yes, there are cases that one can buy to add this feature, but they invariably involve inconveniences like muffled speakers and microphones.

Agreed. The time has come for Apple to ease up a bit on the restrictions. With developer editions being released on Android, & bootloader unlocking available from other Android OEM's, Apple should let up a bit.

They need a simple notification light. I think a light blue or white LED around the fingerprint scanner would be tastefully done. It doesn't even have to changer colors a la Samsung, just a pulsing reminder light.

I wouldn't even mind if they went bigger on the display, but if they did, under 4.5 inches would be my "sweet spot". I just came from the HTC ONE, & while it was nice for media purposes, a pocketable device is more my priority.

Maybe another GIG of RAM, real multi-tasking, higher functionality of the OS and it'll be a hit.

Not to devices, but to iOS: a more flexible relationship with other desktop OSes for people who are not bound to iCloud or iTunes. Since they make most of their profit on hardware, i see no reason for this stupid iEcosystem chainlink.

Definitely ram and REAL multitasking (agreed). I think they should add the windows 8 feature. They should subtly add a desktop i think. For more productivity. Because nowdays, smartphones are turning into computers.

On tablets multi window or snapping apps is nice, but on a smartphone it is stupid IMO.

I don't see where desktop adds up productivity. It is good for a mouse and keyboard system may be, and even then i find it not as needed. On my laptop running windows 7 i have icons of my most used programs (or 'apps') spaced out like in iOS/android, as i find it the most efficient system. A desktop with its menu system would slow things down.

nice reasoning. the reason is that having a desktop could be a more approachable way of a FILE system. So you could ACUTALLY download things and use them instead of using cloud. But i think the cloud is the future...

I would like more camera settings and modes. And ability to save presets in camera.

I would like to see more advanced settings for camera. Don't get me wrong there should still be an auto function. However regardless of how good the iPhone camera is I can take a better picture with a lot of the competitions phones since you can adjust things like white balance, ISO, etc...

In addition to what others have already posted...

- More iPhones, in various sizes etc.

- Would like to see an iPhone Pro 5,8" with a stylus which uses a power-user version of iOS. Would be the perfect Evernote device.

- A similar iPad Pro with stylus. All iPads should however support a stylus and power user iOS.

I was thinking what should Apple add to their devices?
People say they are perfect the way they are.
What about you. Should they add stuff like kick stands?

----------

.
Since the introduction of the pull up Control Centre in iOS7 I have wished they would add a Cellular Data on/off. I suppose Bluetooth and Airplane mode may be handy for many but personally I try to minimise my data usage because of cost. WiFi at home more than adequate for my needs but occasionally I want to use Maps or check email when I'm out and i find using Preferences a tiresome process.

Kickstands? No. Are people seriously so lazy that they cannot hold their own phone?

As for what they should add.
#1 should be more RAM, Too many safari refreshed and program crashing due to low memory.
#2, Battery life improvements, Batteries need to last longer.
#3, An IR blaster would be nice but not really needed.

I got a Note 3 recently (still debating on whether to switch from my iPhone 5 to it or pass it on to my mom) and of all of its features, I really, REALLY like S Pen. It's amazingly responsive and it tracks so well.. I wish Apple would add stylus capabilities as well, even if there is no built in stylus.

And god knows that Apple would love to sell an iPen on the side for $49.99.

i love your creative thinking:D

Ugh, please no. Having to open a cheap and nasty, fragile flap every time I wish to charge my phone? The Xperia phones are terrible for this.
I won't buy any phone which has fragile 'flaps'.

Umm, you can just click on one of those "My computer","Windows explorer","Documents" etc icons to access the file system just fine?

Desktop doesn't affect file system at all. When i jailbroke my iPhones, i would install iFile from cydia. It would open up the visibility of the file system which is hidden from users and is exactly the same as any desktop PC, and i could use it just like i do on my laptops. I never thought "hey i also need a desktop app".

ok. then. ok.

That's why you have wireless charging.

This. This!!

I mean, it may not matter so much to the ordinary user. But, it would be pretty sad if Apple can't push out an HD display for their phone and it's 2014.

Yeah. Strange that the screen actually isn't classified as HD but hey, the Retina screen is fantastic so it doesn't really bother me.
