Well with my birthday just around the corner, I was wondering what should I ask for (trying to stay under $250 CAN. Range) An used ibook off ebay. Or an ipod touch. I never owned an apple product. I do have an mp3 but it's very old (only 256mb) and I'm getting tired of it. So what do you think? Please back up your answers. Fine details: -Tech savvy -Don't have a notebook -Thinking about using a notebook for school -Good with computers -Probably around 100 songs i like. But I want to listen to pod casts on-the-go. Please forgive me if this does not belong here.
Since you only need around 100 songs plus a few podcasts, I would suggest that you get a used 1gb or 2gb nano (1st or 2nd gen). You can get those for $25/30 if you're lucky. I would then put the rest of your money towards a notebook. If you already have a computer, then I would suggest an used netbook for school. They're more portable, and faster than the iBooks in the same price range.
I think you would enjoy the iPod touch more. It's new technology, pretty cutting edge, i think, touch screen and all. You can listen to your songs, you can surf the internet, you can play games, you can watch movies. only thing is it has a smaller screen, but i think it'll last longer than the ibook.
iPod Touch for sure... iPod touches are like little computers in your hand and if ur around a wi-fi area, then u also have the internet in the palm of ur hand! I'm actually selling my iPod Classic right now to upgrade to one of these babies! & when the new macbooks/macbook pros come out you'll be looking at ur iBook wishin it was one of the new Mac laptops (assuming u ask for the iBook) Advice: ask for the iPod Touch & start saving up some money for your own Mac Laptop purchase (plus you'll get good expereince in not relying on the parentals to buy you stuff ) DJ Asian Sensation
You should go with the iPod touch. You will get a much better experience with a newer piece of Apple's great technology. I am an iBook owner and a iPhone 3G and I enjoy my phone much more than my computer. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MAC COMPUTERS, but it is very outdated and slow to me. There has been a rumor about a new price range on Apple's notebook's so you might want to look into that as well. If I had the choice: iPod Touch
iPod touch by far. I had an iBook though. The iBook is a great notebook, but for the time being, get an iPod touch. Then save up for a notebook. The iBooks were great, but it's very old. IMHO, I'd rather have something 3-4 newer than 3-4 years older. You won't able to do much with it, besides surfing internet, word processing, etc.
The Touch or get a nano and save towards a slightly more modern notebook. The iBook will struggle to run many modern apps and with Snow Leopard coming will likely soon feel totally obsolete. If you just wanna do email a little web and games the touch is the best option.
The real thing is I need a job :/ I live in a small community so it's hard to get one. Yea, I think i'll get a ipod touch or nano. The reason for the touch is because of the apps. Where the nano doesn't have as many (If any)
i suggest an iPhone, OR put everything on red at roulette and hope you win, if your not of age (is it 18or21 in canada (im coming soon, im 18)) get someone else to do it, if your not near a casino then i recommend you just hope for the best
I would say the iPod touch, but you need a decent computer to run iTunes 7 (ot 8 if you want to use Genius0.
ibook you can store music on it and dont get it yet wait till 14th then if apples lowers it to a affordable price for your you can get that instead of a ibook
There's no way that Apple is going to lower it to under 250CAD, and at this point I don't think new macbook releases still affect the resell value of iBook.
