BTW, with a single post, and this sort of question, here's what's actually going on: this thread is being monitored for people posting products, types of things, specific models, brands, etc., and when someone does mention something, a response is generated (most likely automated) and there's a followup, either via this thread, or a new one (maybe even a new "user"), asking about said product and linking to a specific buy-site.

It's basically phishing, to generate click through revenue as a proxy. That username and same line of questioning, each screen shot from a different forum (note the join date ...)

A user with a single solitary post to their name, a single post - of this sort, when the poster is a newbie who has joined the site simply to make such a strange first post (and never returns to clarify matters or follow up in any way, or read - and/or reply to - what has been written by way of replies or responses, actually, it is rather revealing that the OP hasn't been seen online here, since he - the name suggests a "he" - posted on Wednesday, all of two days ago), will always be something of a flapping red flag to me.

Not necessarily.

Many join the forum to ask a question about an Apple product that they have just bought (at least, this is why I joined the forum).

However, someone who joins the forum and posts a peculiar post - as their very first post - does serve to raise questions.

For my part, I usually simply report such posts, and the mods tend to deal with them fairly quickly.
