What should I name my new iBook?

Sorry iBookin didn't see the smilie. I think he has had quite a few repairs if i remember correctly so after i think three times repalcing the mobo apple says fine take a new one and since they odn't have ibook 500 combos around nemore they give him one of the current models that matches the specs of his current one.

that post was about as disjointed as a femur after getting run over by a bobsled. if you're his ex, why would he care what you think, or care if you break up with him (again?).

ibookin, get away before you become a victim of domestic abuse! ;)

This machine's codename was P29. Not a very good name. I miss the days of codenames like "Carl Sagan", "BHA", and "LAW". By the way, anyone who knows that story (or even what BHA stands for) spends too much time on Mac trivia.

BHA, I know. LAW, I don't remember. What was it? I think it had to do with the aftermath of BHA, but I'm not sure.

lol, a singles forum? how about a soap opera discussion forum? we could name it after Jane. "as the über turns.."

we should make a new forum somewhere where lonely males can meet females that share their interests...it won't work though there aren't a whole lot of women (feels like it's one woman per 100+ males) on these forums and if they are they're probably in a relationship already...the apple store's a great place to meet people though :) :p

and I'd think it was more like 300 to 1 - you'd have to ask arn on the stats. But out of the 16000 members I can only think 10 females that I know - even given a order of magnitude more women, that's a lot less that 300 to 1....

i still don't think i live in a soap opera
anyway i said 100+ not 100, i don't know what the exact number is, i can barely think of like 10 female people on this forum too...
 
A MacRumors soap opera could be interesting...

uber leaves iBook for shadow, but then learns shadow is not
only a woman - but her sister too! So she hooks back up with
iBookin, and has a baby - but wait - tests show the father is....
......... arn!!!!

lol sorry. THat was a lot of fun. :D

I definitely think you should name your 'book' uber, or uber-book
or something like that. ;)

next episode:
über leaves the baby with ms v in Cali and runs off with scem0 to Florida, where they are attacke by dimpled chads and Jeb Bush. When scem0 sees Jeb, however, he is overpowered and entranced.

having realized scem0's homosexual republican tendencies, über decides to return to California to Ms V and try her hand out at it, but still as a democrat.

Jeb Bush takes scem0 to washington, where he is included with Jeb's brother, GW. unfortunately, Laura discovers them and arranges for scem0 to be sent to a forced labor camp in where but Texas. the episode ends with scem0 being forced to use a PC... oh wait, that's not a punishment!

I had to see it to believe it. :D

Anyway, my iBooks name is Trinity and I love her to pieces. The windowing and GUI performance seems light years ahead of my old 500 due to Quartz Extreme.

Also, I finally got my cell phone to work as a modem under OS X. With Unlimited Night and Weekend Minutes I'm going to have a lot of fun in the car on weekends.

Anyway, I like the idea of an MR soap as well. It would be pretty funny, especially since very few of us know each other in our offline lives...
