What size 5S are you getting?

32GB. I think I'm going for gold unless it sells out so fast I can't get it...then I'll get space grey.

I just need a phone in hand before Oct. 15, since that's when my wife's 4S needs to be shipped to Gazelle to keep the $205 lock-in price.

I agree! I've always gone for the 16GB, but I'm going to get the 32GB this time around. I can see myself storing a lot more videos, pictures and even music on the 5S. I also don't own a digital camera anymore. The iPhone is now my "everything" device!

32GB possibly instead of getting Applecare Plus this time (I dropped my 4S like 8 times, twice on concrete from hip height and no significant damage).

Dude, I would strongly suggest you investing in AppleCare anyway. I was one to NEVER take the plunge until I bit the bullet when I purchased my iPhone 4S. AppleCare saved me twice from having to pay out of pocket to get a new phone. My problems came from software and hardware issues that I didn't contribute to at all.

I would probably get an 8GB if it was offered . I currently use 1.5GB
