Just wondering what size all of you are getting and maybe the reasoning behind it (iCloud, 1080p video, 8MP cameras, millions of apps, etc.).

I'm getting the 16GB because I'm at about 5GB free with the 16GB iPhone 4, with lots of photos and videos. I'm a little concerned about the 8MP photo and 1080p video file sizes though. Hoping it'll work out.

If it doesn't, I have a couple of upgrades left anyway ;)

64gb. Without expandable harddrive, it's better safe than sorry.

Plus with iCloud and other apps that we can't even imagine yet eventually coming out, if you have a tiered data plan instead of unlimited, you're going to want space to avoid going over your monthly data cap.

16GB

I've had my iPad 16GB for over a year, and as much as I try, I could not fill it to 16GB. I still have 11GB left.

But as far as the iPhone goes, 16GB is plenty for me. I only a have a few apps, about 100 download iTunes store songs, and a few photos. Most of the 16GB will go towards 1080p video and even then I'll have many GB left.

64GB is amazing though for a phone.

64GB without a doubt. I can only imagine how much space 1080p video, music files, and apps would take up.

I had been wanted 64gb for a long time...But now when it comes down to it I think I'd rather save the $100 and get the 32gb version. Even though I'm running out of space I don't NEED to have all my songs on my phone. If I really want it on and I don't sync it I can just get it with iCloud.

I got 64, I knew 16 wouldn't be enough as I had an iPod I'd fill EASILY with that size.

32 still seemed on the small size looking at the large majority of songs / apps I wasn't able to add to my iPod so I figured I'd get 64.

I was also (technically) getting $112 off as I had a gift card I forgot about laying around, so I ended up paying for a 32gb out of pocket but will be physically getting the 64 :)

At this point I can't fill the 16gb on my 3Gs...but I am close....32gb fit the bill for me...1080 video is the factor......

I am getting a 32gb 4S. As a side note, you don't have to put a "I just want to see the results" option, there is a built in option for that.

I got the 16gb. I currently have the 32 and never even fill half of it. I don't watch videos on my phone and only sync what music is not available on Spotify. I currently don't shoot many videos, but the 1080p issue is the only thing that makes me question my decision. Does anyone know if there will be a quality setting on the video camera?

I went 16 Gb as this will be my first iPhone. I did get the 2Gb data plan (coming from unlimited data family plan on a Pantech). I don't have a large music collection and I don't see myself watching videos on my phone. I considered the 32Gb for possible resale value in 2 years, but figured I could use the $100 better now. My only concern space wise is that if the camera and video is as useful as I think I might fill it up with grandkid pics and videos. But then again, I can always save them on my macs.

I'm upgrading from a 16gb iPhone 3GS to the 32gb iPhone 4S. Over the past six months I've constantly had to delete apps and sync less music so that I don't go over the 16gb on syncs. I like to carry around a lot of photos, podcasts, and audiobooks which end up taking up more space then I'd like. Doubling the storage will be great!

Managing within 32GB has felt like trying to live in a phone booth. Doubling that will be a welcome addition. In fact, 160GB would probably be about right for me. This would allow me to keep the apps I need, enough movies and shows to entertain the family for impromptu video needs, and enough depth of play lists across a wide range of music genres for my schizophrenic musical tastes.

I ordered the 32 -- but I'm starting to regret not future-proofing myself with the 64. $399 just seemed like an awful lot of money to lay out for a phone.

Regardless, I'm pretty good about keeping my apps at a manageable level -- I don't keep a lot of games on the phone (just ones that I'm currently playing a lot and a few time wasters) and I only put movies on when I have a flight somewhere.

I might try to swap out for a 64 on launch day. Haven't decided yet.

16GB- I used to buy 32GB iPhones but I just reduced my music library to that which I actually enjoy listening to, and see no reason to spend the extra $108.

16gb...using iTunes match. I regularly import my photos/vids to iPhoto so I never seem to run out of space.

I went with the 32GB because I had about 5 gigs left on my iPhone 4 so I figured 32 would give me "growing room" with the 1080p video. I also had way too many apps on my 4 so figured this time I would cut it down to only those I use regularly :D

Closer race than I thought. $399 is a lot for a phone unsubsidized, but 64GB is legit. Don't know of another phone with as much storage, even the microSDHC's cap out at 32GB (at a reasonable price).

I got a 64 GB black iPhone 4S.

I don't need the space, but I am attempting to buy happiness. I am attempting to partially recreate the joy of a young child on Christmas morning. So I went all out.

16 ordered here. I have tons of music. Love shooting videos. And love resyncing albums and using iphoto/movie to clear out if needed. Not a problem.

16GB - I don't have that many apps but most of the space will be filled up with videos and pics!

I might try to swap too. Got the 32 cos like you, 399 seemed like a lot to spend on a phone...but now i kinda regret it. I have the money, i shouldve just gotten the 64.
