There's also a "california king" sized bed. Not sure about the dimensions.

Cali King Bed is: 72"*84"

Me: US Queen bed on a $210 IKEA bed frame...

Perhaps you should also address whether there are one or two occupants in the bed? I have a queen bed: just me.

Cali King

the only bed I can sleep on in any direction - I tend to rotate in my sleep , sometimes I wake up facing the opposite way from what I went to sleep:D

I though about getting the Ikea round bed but in person it looked too porn set.
plus finding nice sheets would be pain in butt.

Full Size Shikibuton (Futon) here. I find it a lot nicer than a damn noisy box spring bed I had before.

I have a small-ish bed. My bed is only a Twin/Single size. It is just right lengthwise but I wish it was a little longer. The other bad thing about my bed is that I don't even have a real mattress it is either just the top part or just the box-spring part. Not to mention it's about 25 years old and was my mother's before it was mine! Previous bed frame was a metal one as old as the matress. The current one is a cheapo bed frame is from Big-Lots, cheap but it gets the job done decently (aside from the fact that I always bang my foot or knee on it every day. ):apple:

Worth every penny.

i totally agree. smartest money i ever spent was on a king bed. my girl and i had to sleep on my then queen size bed for a few months and it was not good - it took me a long time to fall asleep. i hate to be crowded when i am trying to fall asleep. now with the king as soon as we are done doing.... whatever... its a kiss goodnight and she knows to get out of my way onto her side of the bed :)

i am wondering: how many of you still use a box spring and a mattress? i went to a platform/european style bed (mattress only on top of wooden slats inside a steel frame) and its fantastic.

What's the difference between a twin and a single mattress?
nothing. I think the reason it's sometimes called 'twin' is because two are pushed together to form a superking size.

I have an extra long twin.

As crazy as it sounds, I think they mean the same thing.

oh yes, thanks for that.

I have a California King. A little bigger than a regular King :D
Actually it's longer, not bigger.

We have that sort of bed as well. (as everyone has probably seen from my "exposed apple fan" photo)

I know huh? I thought of adding a multiple choice option or asking people to specify that as well as if they live on their own or not but I didn't bother.

I've always built my own beds. Our present one is oak slats on an oak frame, very comfy.

Full. It's plenty big for my girlfriend and myself since we are both smaller people. I wish it were a bit longer, though. In terms of width, it's perfect.

We just have our mattress on wooden slats; no box spring.

None of the above, 2x doubles pushed together to make one massive bed.
