I've noticed if you need the optical inserts it changes the light seal size too. I can order for day 1 pickup in store but the optical inserts are 3 weeks out... so I wonder what they will do for that case on pickup. I might just skip the optical inserts because I wear contact lenses more often and I could always add the inserts later... but then I might need a different light seal for $200...I know thats less than the sales tax on AVP but annoying.
Yes I noticed the light seal size increases with the use of the Zeiss lens.

I ended up not ordering the Zeiss lenses since my correction is so low.
And my Pico Neo 3 Pro VR works perfectly without any correction, I figured Apple would be the same ?

I'd try out VP without any correction and if I need it I can order it separately.

So you are saying $150 for the Zeiss + $200 for the light seal ?

$350 is a 10% additional cost - would rather spend that on more storage....

You'll have 2 weeks to figure out if you are fine without lens inserts. If you aren't, you can test light seal sizes at the Apple store with mock inserts, exchange, and wait for your lenses. You should not have to pay for a second light seal in that case.

Thank you!

Forgot that during the 2 week window, Apple will exchange parts that don't fit right...

Saves me $200 !

How can you reliably know that’s causing the size difference? Some people get different sizes from measurement to measurement without the lenses

Get Apple store delivery so they can interchange light seals until it fits your face.

Or if you have it delivered, go into an Apple store Genius Bar appointment within 2 weeks for free exchanges.

I have a big head like XL ball cap barely fits. The sizing software says I need small on both. I did call Apple and they said when I pick it up the will swap out the parts that don’t fit.

Out of curiosity, how many times did you do the fit test? Was that a consistent result or did you only perform it once?

Lighting made a huge difference for me. After about three tests at home, I got 33W each time so I was satisfied with the result. I tried at work under fluorescent daylight temp lighting and it was consistently 21W.

I really wanted to avoid unboxing that thing in Store and digging out all the included parts but it seems inevitable now. My OCD unboxings at home come with a ritual lol.

This will sound crazy but 6 times because I couldn't believe the results. I halfway think they are shipping mostly small when I placed my order. I am going to try again with better lighting. o_O

To be honest, I don’t have much confidence in that fit test anyway. I’m definitely a size small head but not sure about the 33W vs 21W. I don’t even know what those numbers mean.

I don't either. I did try better like you said, did twice and guess what? I am medium now so who knows...
