What size of flash drive do I need for a bootable USB drive?

Im trying to use bluestacks on parallel desktop and vm fusion, however, the whole system shut down due to ram issue. I think is more due to the fact that bluestack is a resources heavy app leading to this issue (same problem found online). Im trying to play around with the ram and CUP set up with no luck.

Now I decided to go for a USB bootable bootcamp as I do not have a Disk reader to install it. Is 16gb good enough for wind 7 plus few more applications like office and bluestack?
