Hell nah! Hope Apple is reading the plethora of posts indicating that most of us are sick of the minuscule 2007 3.5" screen. If Apple continues to just offer one model with a small ass screen, then they will assure themselves a spot along side Motorola with the same fate that the RAZR met.

Get an effing flip phone if you want a small screen phone.

Go buy an Android device if you want a big screen phone. Simple.

And if the next iPhone 5 has a 3.5 inch screen, you will still purchase one, and 100 million of them will be sold world wide. No biggie.

the 3.5" is good, but the 4" would be easier to do multitouch gestures on the iPhone, i love multitouch gestures on the iPad, enabled it via Xcode.

i tried the redsn0w tethered jailbreak with 4.3.1 on my iPhone, and i enabled the multitouch gestures on it, it's a pain to use on 3.5".

I like the gestures also, but IMO, they would still be useless on a 4" screen.

I dont think it matters because 99% of people on here would buy the next iPhone if they could even if it had a 4 inch or 4.5 inch screen.

3.5 is fine...

4.3 is too big. Wtf...

The only reason I would ever think about getting bigger phone is to watch movies, but I have an ipad for that.

So, no... phones are fine at 3.5 inch. If apple wants to release 4.0 inch screen, fine. But, I won't buy one.

I want my 326 pixel per inch on my phone and I will continue with my IPS + Retina display on 3.5 inch screen.

I have no problem on typing iPhone 4.

The iPhone keyboard is definitely the best in the industry. No one compares. I've tried out so many different keyboards on other phones and nothing is the same. I've actually typed an essay one night on my phone. My laptop died and I couldn't get on my other computer. So I typed out my 8 page essay all on my lovely iPhone.

I've actually been a member since 2009 I think? Maybe early 2010.. I can't remember. But I created a new account. I was bored of the old name lol.

1) A Lot More viewing area
2) More finger room (mine are thin) for messaging along with it's larger window for easier composition.
3) Less scrolling.
4) Larger & more comfortable keyboard.
5) Keep the device contemporary & competitive.
And that's just the beginning.

Very well put...

I would like the phone to have a 4" and if the phone had to be a tiny bit bigger for the screen I wouldn't mind as long as it didn't mean thicker.

No bigger than 4" though. Maybe even 3.7" or 3.8"

Well said.

1. Viewing area for what? Everyone can view what they need perfectly already.
2. I have big fingers and I have no issues at all for messaging.
3. Are you really that lazy?
4. As stated in number 2. I have big fingers and I've had no issues typing on an iPhone keyboard. My hands are really big... If I'm able to do it, I'm sure anyone can.
5. A bigger screen doesn't make it more competitive. That is pure garbage. Not everyone wants to walk around with a clipboard in their pocket. I'm not wearing hippy pants from the 60's

Speaking of apples and oranges, stop comparing a 4" screen to a clipboard in your pocket. The iPhone would have to widen out MAX a 1/16" inch on each side to pull off a 4" screen. You wouldn't even be able to tell the difference in your pocket. Or are you against change just on principle?

And you guys are certainly in the minority for wanting to stick with the 3.5" screen. Besides, you know you'll worship it just like everyone else when Steve sprinkles his magic dust on it.

A larger screen will just make everything more pleasant to do and less of a strain on your eyes. Same as no one watching a 12" TV any more. It just makes the whole experience nicer.

Great analogies there Sedrick :)

I agree. I had a HD2 before and LOVED the bigger screen size. As long as the phone is thin and fits in my back jeans pocket why would I care if the screen is bigger?

It actually like a smaller screen (maybe 3") that forms an iPhone Nano. One day (when I start work and get money!) I'd like an iPad. I wouldn't then need the full functionality and features of an iPhone.

Ok, let me see if I can pin you down here. You won't by a 4" iPhone: What if the size of the phone didn't change? Still no? What if (and this has been proven) you can't tell the difference between 300ppi and 326ppi and Apple found a way to keep the 4" screen at "retina" resolution (which by definition is 300+). THEN would you buy one? You know, even with 285ppi, it would still be better than anything on the market. So, you'd just keep the iPhone 4 forever on principle and never get another phone?

just got my new samsung focus (free with any $250 purchase at gilt.com if you buy using ie9!!) and gotta say the 4" screen seems like the sweet spot to me...I've always found 4.3" screens to be too big, but this feels perfect

I have used the iPhone keyboard and the WP7 keyboard extensivley...and while I can't say one is better than the other, they're definitley just about the same. The android keyboard is still lacking, but if Microsoft got one thing right, its the speed and responsiveness of the OS, including the keyboard

I think they should use pi as the size. You know, Apple Pi. But I kid.... Is it quiet in here or what?

More to the point, 3.5" is plenty good. the dimension area increase of 4" is so unremarkable that it's not worth my consideration.
