What software is the macrumours frontend? its vbulletin at the back of course.. but at the front? I really like how the front is integrated well between the mediawiki and the blogs on the front few pages, what did you guys use to achieve this?
 
That's correct. MacRumors has plenty of home-grown code and home-grown designs, including the news management system, media management system, Forum Spy, MacRumorsLive, and the iPhone+blog page.

MacRumors has tinkered with vBulletin as well.
 
As stated above, the front end is custom written and integrated with forums. On days like this, it feels like it's scotch-taped together... but it holds up :)
